IAT is now an Authorized Provider of MCT Certification
IAT has been listed as a
Presentation skills provider for Microsoft Certified Trainer Certification. IAT
Certified Trainer Course received approval from Microsoft making IAT the first
and only recognized Presentation Skills Training providers for the East African
region.
Through this
accreditation, IAT will be able to conduct Training for Trainers, especially
those working towards attaining the MCT certification from Microsoft. Microsoft
only recognizes MCT's as the approved trainers to conduct the wide range of
Microsoft's ICT training programs. Other training institutions that intend to
or are currently conducting any Microsoft training, can also send their
trainers to IAT to acquire the certification. The training will also be
suitable for individuals aspiring to develop training skills especially for
professional (technical) training programs; even if they don't intend to focus
on Microsoft courses alone.
Mr. Thomas Gitumbi, IAT's
General Manager for East Africa was elated by
the news of the accreditation.
"This is a
significant milestone for IAT", Mr. Gitumbi said.
The IAT Certified
Trainer Course is designed to equip the participants (instructors-to-be)
with the professional and (minimum) technical skills necessary for effective
management of the teaching and learning process. The course is specifically
designed to prepare participants for the MCT Certification program from
Microsoft.
IAT's Country Manager Ms.
Wangui Mwangi was full of praise for the IAT team that has developed the
course. "Our becoming a Presentation Skills Provider for MCT Certification
for the Eastern Africa region is great
news!" Ms. Wangui added.
IAT intends to roll out
the course to Trainers offering Microsoft courses (and would like to attain the
MCT certification), newly recruited teaching staff before they are assigned
actual classes and formal teachers wishing to improve their training skills.
