Ufunguo wins praise during Career Teachers' Seminar
My name is Boniface Ikatukhu and I am a career master at Loreto Convent Valley Road.
It was in 2006 when I had just been given the career docket in my school. I had
invited IAT to talk to our students and they shared about Ufunguo scholarship.
Ironically, I shared this information with a neighbour where I was residing
then at Lower Kabete. The son (Jeremiah Mungai
Njoroge) had scored a B in KCSE but was unable to join university through
regular the Joint Admissions Board due to marks falling slightly below cut off.
The parents couldn't raise money for parallel or any reasonable college.
Thus, I advised them to try Ufunguo and he was awarded partial scholarship. He
joined the Westland's
branch and proceeded on up to Web design. I was so happy when I recently met
the young man in town and he told me that he does part time jobs in IT around
town which earn him some money with the hope of raising some capital for
further studies. He still wishes to continue further studies in IT with IAT.
This is encouraging and I would say 'hongera" to the Ufunguo Scholarship
team. You are a real key to many.
