This suite of courses equips students with computer programming and web development skills. This suite of programs is aimed at providing students with an entry point in a career in computers, specifically in programming, web design, software and solutions development.

Enables students to produce well-designed, effective applications in VB and learn programming language for websites using Java

Visual Basic programming

1. Intrinsic controls in VB & ActiveX Controls.

2. Multiple Document Interface & Database Development and Custom Controls in VB.

3. Generation of data reports in VB& Master Packaging and Deployment of a Program.

Java Programming

1. Basic programming in Java

2. Understand swing components and concepts of Objects, Methods and Classes in Java

3. Understand the concepts of Applets, multi-threading & Include Animation in Java

4. Master the use of Graphics, Fonts and Colors in Java Program.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Those who wish to acquire Website Developers or Solutions Developers.

PRE-REQUISITES:

ICDL or equivalent

DURATION:

16 weeks, two (2) hours per day, 8 weeks, 4 hours per day or 11 weeks, 3 hours per day Monday to Friday.

CERTIFICATION:

Certificate of Competence upon successful completion of the course.
