1. ADVANCED MS ACCESS

For intermediate and advanced users of MS Access. It explores Access concepts and tools like Cross-tab Queries, VB for Applications, Macros and SQL specific queries. Students will get a chance to interact with advanced features of Access 2003, and learn the fundamentals for managing an elaborate Database System.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those who wish to harness the full capabilities of MS Access to manage databases.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Basic computer literacy (ICDL)

DURATION:

30 hours in six (6) hours per day for 5 days - Weekdays.

2. DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR ON ORACLE 10G

Designed to give you a firm foundation in basic database administration. You?ll learn how to install and maintain an Oracle database & gain a conceptual understanding of the Oracle db architecture and how its components work & interact with one another. You will also learn how to create an operational database & properly manage the various structures in an effective & efficient manner including performance monitoring, db security, user management, & backup/recovery techniques.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those who want to become proficient in setup and use of the Oracle 10g database system

PRE-REQUISITES:

Basic knowledge of PC hardware configurations and networking (USP, NSS)

DURATION:

70 hours of study, in six (6) hours per day for 12 days - Weekdays.

3. IMPLEMENTING A MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2005 DATABASE

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to implement a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database. The course focuses on teaching individuals how to use SQL Server 2005 product features and tools related to implementing a database.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Those who wish to become skilled on SQL Server 2005 product features & technologies for implementing a database.

PREREQUISITES

  1. Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server

  2. An understanding of basic relational database concepts.

  3. Knowledge of basic Transact-SQL syntax (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE statements).

  4. Some experience with database design.

  5. Familiarity with the role of the database administrator.

4. MICROSOFT CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATIONS

Exam 70-431: Implementing and Maintaining Microsoft SQL Server 2005

IAT certificate of competence.
